BVB maintained their five-point lead over Borussia Mönchengladbach in the U17 Bundesliga West after a 2-1 win at Arminia Bielefeld.

As expected, Arminia fought hard on the artificial pitch in Bielefeld, but the Yellow and Blacks did not allow the passion of the home team or the adverse weather conditions to affect them. Göktane Gürpüz gave the team a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute, before Tekin Gencoglu doubled the lead in the 52nd minute. The hosts made the scoreline look more with a penalty in injury time.

Next Saturday, BVB will play host to third-placed Borussia Mönchengladbach in a massive game at 11:00 CET. (wiwi)
