Borussia’s U19s are ready for their crunch encounter on Sunday (2 February) at 1. FC Cologne, who topped the table going into the winter break. Michael Skibbe’s charges won their last friendly against VfL Bochum 6-0 and were a joy to watch throughout the entire game. "I am very pleased," said Skibbe. The goals came from Ansgar Knauff (3), Ramzi Ferjani, Felix Schlüsselburg and Max Meier.

The U17s were made to work harder for a 3-2 victory against Bundesliga South team SV Wehen Wiesbaden. They had to wait until the final stages before Chrysanth Mallek secured the victory. BVB had led 2-0 through Michel Ludwig and Samuel Bamba. Coach Sebastian Geppert subbed on guest player Aiden Milicevic from Borussia's Australian partner club, Marconi Stallions, for the final 20 minutes. (wiwi)
