Borussia's Bundesliga youth teams will round off their preparations for the spring season with friendly fixtures at the youth academy in Brackel.

The U19s will take on the senior team of Regionalliga club Wuppertaler SV on Sunday at 11:00 CET. "This opposition will be challenging for us, especially physically," said coach Mike Tullberg as he looked ahead to the final friendly before the Bundesliga restart against second-placed Bayer Leverkusen, who are also unbeaten, on Friday (16:00 CET in Brackel). Wuppertal are set to field their first team after their Regionalliga clash with Straelen on Saturday was called off.

Borussia's U17s will take on Bundesliga Süd/Südwest outfit SV Wehen Wiesbaden on Saturday (11:00 CET). Their clash with Karlsruher SC, which was scheduled for Sunday, is off. In other news, DFB coach Christian Wick has called up eight BVB players for the Germany U16s, who will take part in a UEFA development tournament in Portugal between 6 and 13 February. "That's also the reward for the intensive work being done at the club," said coach Sebastian Geppert.
