The Borussia Dortmund U23s reached the Kitzbühel Alps on Friday evening following a long bus journey. As is tradition, the team are holding their training camp in Kirchberg in Tirol. Christian Preußer and his players will be at the SV Brixen im Thale training ground from this Saturday to Monday 11 July.

Two sessions have been scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday – at 10:00 CET and 16:00 CET respectively – while on Monday the third-tier outfit will train exclusively in the morning. The BVB second team's training sessions are open to the public; the training ground, which possesses a small stand, is located at Schwimmbadweg 24 in Brixen im Thale, just a few minutes from Kirchberg by car.

On 6 July, the U23s will play their first friendly fixture against Bavarian Regionalliga club Wacker Burghausen, with the former 2. Bundesliga side welcoming BVB to the Wacker Arena at 18:30 CET. The Black & Yellows will then travel to Austria Salzburg four days later. The three-time Austrian champions and 1994 UEFA Cup finalists currently play in the Regionalliga West, the third tier of Austrian football, having been re-founded as a phoenix club in 2005. Kick-off at Max Aicher Stadium in the Maxglan district of Salzburg will be at 17:30 CET on 10 July. Borussia Dortmund's U23 team will return home the following day.
