BVB coach Mike Tullberg's charges will be aiming to make amends for their bitter derby defeat when they welcome Borussia Mönchengladbach II to the Rote Erde Stadium on Sunday (14:00 CET). It has been some time since the U23s were last in Regionalliga action because their match in Verl last week was called off due to the pitch being unplayable.

The Foals will go into this match in sixth place and with one of the best offensive records in the division with 38 goals scored. Forward Haralambos Makridis has scored 11 times, while his strike partner Justin Steinkötter has eight goals. The top scorers at BVB are Steffen Tigges and Joseph Boyamba with six and five goals respectively.

BVB coach Mike Tullberg will be unable to call upon Jonas Hupe, Marco Rente, Julius Schell, Haymenn Bah-Traoré, Julian Schwermann and Patrick Osterhage, but the duo of Taylan Duman and José Relucio may recover from their injury concerns in time to be included in the squad.

The last meeting between the teams in May ended in a 2-2 stalemate with Luca Kilian and Gianluca Rizzo getting the goals for Dortmund. Rizzo is again in contention for a place in the starting XI this weekend if Tullberg puts his faith in the 4-4-2 formation trialled in Bonn.
