After the final whistle in Seville, Edin Terzic, Julian Brandt, Karim Adeyemi, Jude Bellingham and Emre Can all shared their thoughts on the match.

Edin Terzic (at the press conference): "It was a deserved victory. We produced a very good performance in many phases. But there was also a spell we didn't like so much. I'm not using it as an excuse, but we had nine new lads with us today. The way we embraced that was a very good step. We can take away a lot of positives and need to improve a few things. It was hard work. The atmosphere at the stadium was very good, you don't get anything on a plate here. We scored four goals, that's not to be taken for granted. We'll need a similar performance next Tuesday to win. Six points are not enough to qualify for the knockout stages."

Julian Brandt (to DAZN): "You have to earn self-confidence; it doesn't just come to you. The result is very positive. But we're self-critical and have found one or two issues. However, I want to talk about the positive things today. We want and have to carry the momentum with us. It was a cohesive team performance despite the five minutes in which we were all at sea. If we work together and give everything, we're capable of coming away with the maximum. We're raring to go for the FC Bayern game."

Karim Adeyemi (to BVB TV): "The first half was top; we were very stable at the back and were finally ruthless going forward. We didn't start the second half well and conceded another goal after five minutes. We can be satisfied with the result, but we need to keep working on ourselves. I'm ecstatic with my goal."

Jude Bellingham (to DAZN):  "That was the reaction we wanted to show. The difference between that and the other games was the hard work early on. We quickly went 3-0 up. That made it possible for us to go into the second half with confidence. Our defenders and Alex were absolutely brilliant. We need to build on that on Saturday. If we play like we did today, we have a good chance of winning on Saturday. Now we need to recover; we have a few days to do that. It'll be a different challenge entirely on Saturday."

Emre Can (to BVB TV): "It wasn't an easy game. They pressed well but we found good solutions. Sometimes a ball in behind is enough. We discussed that beforehand and implemented it well. However, we shouldn't have conceded that goal quickly after the break, again from a set-piece. We should've been more alert there." (br)
