Tom Rothe was not able to enjoy his second Bundesliga goal. "We're going home with no points," said the 17-year-old after the defeat in Cologne. Here we bring you the match reactions.

Salih Özcan (to BVB TV): "We did quite well in the first half, and it could have been more than 1-0 at the break. We dropped off a few percentage points in the second half. We shouldn't have conceded the two goals so quickly. We should've been more valiant."

Julian Brandt (to Sky): "We performed well in the first half and had a lot of good chances. We could have done ourselves a favour by scoring a second goal. We then came out for the second half and simply defended badly. We quickly conceded the three goals in a relatively short period of time. That cannot be allowed to happen. We knew it wouldn't be easy here. But you can't offer that kind of showing in the second half."

Alexander Meyer (to BVB TV): "We're hugely disappointed. We knew what awaited us in the second half and offered too little resistance to begin with. You cannot perform like that. Generally, the killer instinct was lacking. We should've added a second or third goal."

Tom Rothe (to BVB TV): "It's a shame we weren't properly alert for a few minutes and conceded two goals. For my goal, I spotted Tony in the middle, slipped and the ball fortunately went in. Nonetheless, we're still going home with no points.
