The cooperation between Borussia Dortmund and the football training app box-to-box started at the beginning of 2020 – but never made more sense than now. During the summer break it is very important to maintain shape and keeping a clever training plan is a wise call for those who want to excel next season or just be one step ahead of their competitors. Based on video tutorials, stats, and performance tracking, box-to-box aims to make digital football training available to amateur football players worldwide and there is no better time to start than the summer holidays.

Digital training enjoys an increased acceptance all over the world and the Coronavirus-pandemic worked as an accelerator for this change of habits. People are more and more comfortable training on their own with digital solutions like box-to-box, where it is possible to adapt the training plans to each person’s specifics, like experience, position, weight, etc. With box-to-box fans and young talents all over the world can train like their role models. The BVB package features exclusive content with footballers like Jadon Sancho, Marco Reus, Jude Bellingham, Thomas Delaney, Giovanni Reyna, and Youssoufa Moukoko. More than anything, the presence of these professionals aims to encourage amateur players to do individual training and improve their skills during summer while having fun.

The app is available on Google Play (Android) and the AppStore (iOS). Once box-to-box is installed on a device, an internet connection is everything users need to start training with their football idols. The video tutorials include exclusive tricks and tips from professional trainers in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Polish. The users can perform the drills and track their results using the app, keeping an history of the progress made and the areas where there is still room for improvement. This can happen at home, at a public football pitch, at the beach, or anywhere else. With active users in more than 180 countries, box-to-box is a great way to boost the results of individual training, serving as a complement to team training. It’s also a great way to improve during summer vacations and to keep the BVB stars close during the Bundesliga break. If you can’t watch them play, you can watch them train and learn with them.

More than one million training plans were already created by users in box-to-box and many more are expected during the summer break. The users have the option of selecting a limited group of training drills and track their performance for free. For the ones who want to reach the next level, there’s a subscription option that unlocks all the content and provides the option to create individualised training plans depending on their age, position, performance level, etc. There are training plans with or without the ball grouped in different categories like passing, dribbling, shooting, juggling, coordination, and speed. The personalised training feature is available in weekly, monthly and yearly subscriptions and the cost depends on the selected period.

Box-to-box also presents the official BVB package for the one-time payment of 25 Euros. This package includes exercises with 8 professional Borussia Dortmund players, more than 40 exclusive training drills, improved training plans, and a new BVB-themed scorecard.
