The Corona Protection Ordinance in force in NRW since 1 October allows 67,028 fans to SIGNAL IDUNA PARK. As far as the access restrictions (2G/3G) are concerned, BVB distinguishes between outdoor and indoor areas. Advance ticket sales for the home match against Mainz begin on Wednesday at 10 am. Season ticket holders always have a two-day right of first refusal.

After the crowd capacity in SIGNAL IDUNA PARK was already increased for the home match against FC Augsburg, 16,000 additional tickets were sold within 48 hours of the new Corona Protection Ordinance coming into force and 41,000 spectators were reported, the highest number since the outbreak of the pandemic, Borussia Dortmund has now set new guidelines for safe stadium attendance.

According to the guidelines of the state government, the 52,692 seats may be used to 100 per cent capacity and the 28,673 standing places to 50 per cent capacity. This results in a crowd capacity of 67,028 fans. In theory, this would cover both the 5 per cent quota for away fans (10 per cent only when full crowd capacity) as well as all 55,000 season ticket holders. In practice, however, this fails due to the high number of South Stand season tickets, so Borussia Dortmund continues to let the subscriptions rest and, as announced several times, will only activate them when the stadium allows full capacity. Instead, season ticket holders enjoy an exclusive right of first refusal.

Seat season ticket holders: The regular seat is reserved for 48 hours at the start of the respective advance ticket sale. To do so, the season ticket holder must actively log into the online ticket shop in the "My Account" section and book their seat. He pays a preferential price for this. If there are several season tickets in the name of one person, this procedure then applies to all seats. From now on, within the two-day period, the matchday ticket price will no longer be charged, but the proportional season ticket price. Since there are two different season ticket prices - for "17 match" & "20 match" season tickets - an average price has been calculated. After the 48-hour right of first refusal has expired, each season ticket holder can purchase up to five additional tickets in a second order process for members, if still available. In total, a maximum of six tickets can be purchased by season ticket holders. The regular matchday ticket price applies here. The REWE family block will also reopen. The usual discounts for children will also apply here.

Standing season ticket holders: For organisational reasons, the standing room areas of the south and north stands will remain seated. For the South Stand, 50% and thus 12,227 of the 24,454 standing places may be released for sale. As there are just under 24,000 season tickets here, only the motto "first come, first served" can be applied. In order to be able to meet demand, the seats in the south-west and south-east corner stands that are not occupied by season ticket holders will also be offered at the preferential prices of the respective season ticket categories 4, 5 and 6. In addition, each South DK holder can only book a maximum of two seats in order to be able to consider as many season ticket holders as possible. Here too, the proportional price of a season ticket will be charged, not the price of a matchday ticket. After the 48-hour advance booking period has expired, each South stand season ticket holder can also purchase additional tickets - in total, a maximum of six tickets per season ticket holder are allowed.

Advance ticket sales: For the home match against 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday, 16 October 2021, advance tickets sales for season ticket holders will start on Wednesday, 6 October, at 10 am. Club members can purchase tickets for this match from 12 noon on Friday, 8 October. Tickets will then go on general sale on Monday, 11 October, at 10 a.m., if tickets are still available.

In future, the 3G rule will apply in the public areas of SIGNAL IDUNA PARK and thus for all fans in the stands. In the (indoor) VIP and hospitality areas, the 2G rule will apply.

At the stadium entrance, the time slots on the printed tickets will continue to be binding. In the interest of all fans, we would like to see even stricter compliance here, as in future up to 67,000 fans will have to pass through the gates instead of 25,000 or 41,000. 3G control will take place at the turnstiles, as already practised at the match against Augsburg. So-called "lap tickets" for children between the ages of 0 and 6 will be issued again (as before the pandemic, only to fans with seats).

The admission ticket will be delivered as a Print@Home ticket and, as before, must be presented in printed form upon entry. The credit-card-sized "season ticket" still does not entitle the holder to enter the stadium. It will only be activated when a full capacity of 81,365 spectators is possible again.
