The Borussia Dortmund players, coach and sporting director did not appear entirely satisfied as they were interviewed by sky following the goalless draw with VfL Wolfsburg. "If you don't have the consistency for the full 90 minutes, that's not enough," said Peter Stöger. Julian Weigl tried to take the positives, saying: "The good thing is that we kept a clean sheet." Here we bring you the match reactions.

Peter Stöger: "I'm not entirely satisfied. We had the clearer chances and if you don't convert them, it can be dangerous against a team like Wolfsburg. Even though we were better, we still did not manage to keep up the pressure for the full 90 minutes. We had good spells but weaker ones too. If you don't have the consistency for the full 90 minutes, then that's not enough. In the end we were not quite ruthless or effective enough. But the determination was there throughout. Wolfsburg are not the kind of team you can beat at a canter."

Julian Weigl: "It was an open game, but in the second half in particular we had the upper hand. All in all, we had a lot of clear chances but unfortunately we didn't take them, so perhaps we didn't deserve to take all three points. In the end, we were lacking that little bit of luck. We were really up for this game and scoring goals, but that's football. No-one intentionally misses chances. The good thing is that we kept a clean sheet. We of course wanted to start with a victory and carry forward the momentum, but there are enough games ahead. We need to take the positives and mustn't bury our heads in the sand."

"We struggled going forward"

Roman Bürki: "The guys playing in front of me made it really easy for me. We didn't give much away, we need to build on that. Of course, you always have to accept the opponent will get through two or three times. We struggled going forward and didn't show what we're capable of and what we expect of ourselves. Perhaps it was partly because we had a lot of youngsters out there. Such a game will help them to grow and they'll get better by the week. They'll sense they've got a chance of making the starting XI. They can build on that. Next week is another game and we'll give it all we've got – especially going forward."

Michael Zorc: "It was a shame that we didn't win today. We had enough opportunities to get the goal. Yarmolenko alone should probably have got three goals. So in that respect the 0-0 is a little disappointing, but that's the way it is." (djg)
