Lucien Favre and Marco Reus were beaming as they fielded questions after the crazy comeback win over Augsburg. "It was fantastic for the fans – and for us," said the coach.

Lucien Favre: "It was a super game. It was fantastic for the fans – and for us. Anything was possible. We believe in ourselves more when the team has that kind of atmosphere. We always tried to play, but there's a lot we need to correct defensively. We were a little tired today, but in the end we won 4-3. Alcácer has been a very good transfer. But I don't want to single out anyone, we're a team."

Marco Reus: "Unbelievable. We were pretty shoddy defensively today. Three goals conceded at home, but Paco was sensational at the end. I can remember him scoring a few free-kicks in his first days here. We were all hoping that he'd score – and then he goes and does it. He comes off the bench and scores three goals in 30 minutes. You don't get better than that! The last few weeks have been really strenuous. We've had four or five players who've always been playing, as we haven't been able to rotate as we wanted due to injuries. Augsburg played like they did in Munich, man-to-man across the pitch. They're always chasing you. That gets annoying after a while and uses up a lot of energy. But today I don't care how we won. The points are ours now. It's been a good start. Mario's goal was outstanding. He's an extraordinary footballer."
