Borussia Dortmund trudged off empty-handed at the final whistle despite a very, very strong first-half display. "We had an incredible amount of chances, but the opposing goalkeeper made very good saves," said Marco Reus. Here are the match reactions.

Michael Zorc: "The applause from the fans was a reward for the entire Champions League campaign. We performed very well in the group stages. I felt we delivered a very good performance in the opening period. We had a lot of chances but the goal that could've served as the catalyst for us wouldn't come. Our team had four or five outstanding goalscoring opportunities and of course we should've taken one or two of them. Then the match would've progressed differently. Once they went 1-0 ahead, the game was obviously up."

Marco Reus: "We needed a goal before half-time and we didn't manage to get it. We had an incredible number of chances but the opposing goalkeeper made some very good saves. We can build on our performance from the first period, it was a great reaction to the setback we had in Augsburg. The game was decided once we conceded the goal. I believe that the momentum is currently not on our side. We need to work on shooting sooner and getting into shooting positions more frequently. We now need to deliver in the coming weeks and that starts on Saturday."

Marius Wolf: "We had six very, very good opportunities to score in the first half but unfortunately we didn't take them. We need to take the blame for that. Of course, conceding that goal so quickly after the restart was tough to take and decided the game. We did very well keeping Tottenham at bay in the first period. Every one of us believed, you could see that especially in the first half. Now we're focused on the league campaign."
