Borussia Dortmund will host Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday afternoon. The match at Signal Iduna Park is almost sold-out but there are still a few tickets available for away fans. Check out our preview of the clash below.

The scenario: Fifth-placed Dortmund and 15th-placed Düsseldorf are separated by 11 points in the table. Borussia will be aiming to keep pace with the teams above them, or perhaps even gain ground, while Fortuna will be hoping to increase the gap between themselves and 16th-placed Hertha.

Home/away: Borussia Dortmund are unbeaten in their last seven Bundesliga home games, while Fortuna Düssseldorf are winless in six matches. Their last away victory came when they beat Werder Bremen 3-1 on Matchday 1.

Personnel matters: BVB are without Hummels (suspended), Delaney (torn ankle ligaments) and Schmelzer (fibre tear); F95 are missing Ayhan (suspended), Sobottka (broken nose), Stöger (torn cruciate ligament) and Suttner (fibre tear).

Head-to-head record: Dortmund have lost only two of their 15 meetings with Fortuna. One of those defeats came in December 2018; Düsseldorf emerged 2-1 winners that day. BVB are unbeaten in eight home games against F95 – there have been six wins and two draws in that time – and have never failed to score against them at home. That means there has never been a goalless draw between the pair at the Strobelallee. Historically, Fortuna have more Bundesliga away wins against BVB (six) than any other club. That said, the last of them came almost 34 years ago.

Statistics: No team this season has suffered fewer defeats than BVB, who have lost only one of their last 10 league games. Additionally, Dortmund have not been beaten in any of the past nine Bundesliga games in which they have scored first. And even going 1-0 down isn't an insurmountable hurdle, with the Black & Yellows taking points from more games in which they conceded first than any other club this term (four). Düsseldorf, meanwhile, have already lost four matches from winning positions – the most of any club in the German top flight.

Biggest home win: Borussia beat Fortuna 6-0 in front of 20,000 fans on Matchday 25 of the 1983/84 season thanks to braces from Michael Zorc and Bernd Klotz plus further goals from Jürgen Wegmann and Marcel Raducanu.

Attendance: The last 150 of the 81,365 available tickets can still be bought from the away ticket office on the day of the match. They will be sold be exclusively to fans of Fortuna Düsseldorf, who are expected to bring around 6,500 supporters.

Referee: Daniel Siebert, a 35-year-old teacher from Berlin, is refereeing his 98th Bundesliga match and his 13th involving BVB. The Black & Yellows have nine wins, one draw and two defeats under his leadership. Siebert made his Bundesliga debut on 1 September 2012 in a clash between Schalke 04 and FC Augsburg. The 1.91-metre-tall Berlin native has been a FIFA referee since 2014, and cites sport and travel among his key interests. He is known for his calm demeanour on the pitch.
