Lucien Favre: "We played very well in the first half. It is usually difficult to create goalscoring chances against Düsseldorf, but we managed to do that with three great opportunities. Luckily, we opened the scoring before half time. Düsseldorf defended  cleverly and with focus in the first half and it was tough for us. We wanted to make it 2-0 early in the second half. As a result, the game became a bit more open, we found gaps and scored goals. I'm very satisfied."

Marco Reus: "It is always nice when the team wins and you can help out with some goals and assists. It was important that we followed up the win against Berlin, also with the way we played. We succeeded in doing that today. I've been around long enough to know that I have not shown the best performances in the last few weeks. I am always critical when it comes to my own form. You have to keep working hard and believe in yourself. Today we have taken the next step forward and I hope we can continue in that manner on Tuesday."

Julian Brandt: "My performance was a mirror image of the team performance. We all played with great enthusiasm and enjoyed a very, very good day. We had to work hard for that over the past few weeks. Today the team’s quality shone through. I tried today to get hold of a lot of balls. Defensively, we were very good and did not allow them any chances. In the second half, you could also see how much passion was on display. It was a lot of fun to be on the pitch today."
