The result was "very, very difficult to accept" given the balance of play, said Lucien Favre. "But I observed lots of positive things in this game," he added. Here are the match reactions.

Still dry at that point, Lucien Favre revels in his side taking a 2-0 lead in the first half.

Lucien Favre: "It was a very, very good game played at a high tempo. Leipzig pressed us well at the outset. But then we were better, especially in the first half. We were leading 2-0 and were hoping our patience and intelligence would bring us a third. But then we quickly conceded the two goals. Hats off to my team for going and making it 3-2 after conceding those goals. Compliments to them for that. We then let in the third and yet we still wanted to go forward. It is ultimately very, very difficult to accept, but I observed a lot of positive things in this match."

Marco Reus: "Unfortunately, Timo Werner is too smart, doesn't like to track back and then found himself in the right place to make it 2-2. It's not a situation you can anticipate. Normally that would be a safe ball. Because if you turn to go forward there, you might well lose the ball too. With that in mind Julian isn't at fault. It happens, we move on."

Roman Bürki: "When you're leading 2-0 at home, then you naturally hope you will see out the win. Unfortunately, we made things hard on ourselves by conceding two unlucky goals. Then we were back in front but by the end our energy levels had dropped a little bit. Nonetheless, we put in a fantastic performance over the 90 minutes; but we just gifted two goals to our opponents. Leipzig didn't bring much to the table; they didn't play well. They can be happy with the point, whereas we're rather more frustrated."
