Michael Zorc, Lucien Favre and Emre Can spoke to pay-TV broadcaster Sky in the aftermath of the 4-3 defeat at Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Here are the match reactions.

Michael Zorc: "It hurts today and it's very disappointing because we performed well until the 80th minute. We deserved to be leading 3-2 by that stage, but then we were too passive in the decisive moments. It was clear that Bayer have quality going forward. But all in all, we gave away the four goals too easily. That's been a theme for us for a little while. We're conceding too many goals, and that's why we're not in a better position at present."

Lucien Favre: "We needed to control the match with a little more patience. We conceded four goals away from home, and when you do that it's very difficult to win the match. We worked a lot in training. When the opponent applies pressure and ups the tempo, we simply need to give our best. You need to be prepared to defend. First of all, I need to watch the game back so that I can see which mistakes we made."

Emre Can: "The team has a lot of potential but needs to learn one thing: when you're in the lead, you have to be "dirtier" – to put it simply. Sometimes you need to commit fouls, defend better, all together. We play beautiful attacking football but we all need to be better defensively. We scored three goals again today but we let in four. You don't win games like that. It was a setback of course, but there is still a long way to go this season. Plenty can still happen. I believe in the team; I see the potential, even though I've only been here for a week. I'll give my best and put myself out there for the team. I haven't played for a long time and that wasn't my best game today either, but it'll get better in the future."
