Emre Can was the first player to speak to the media after the victory in Bremen. The midfielder said that they had controlled the game and tired out their opponents. He contested the most duels of all Dortmund players (28), winning an impressive 68 percent of them, and only misplaced one pass.

"The first half was very difficult," said the midfielder: "Bremen did a great job, and we couldn't work them out. After that, we were solid. We allowed them almost no chances and controlled the game more in the second half. We didn't immediately hit the first ball forward, and instead let the ball do the running for us. Then Bremen got tired and we struck at the right time." (cr)
