''The most important thing is that we've managed to make it through to the next round. It goes without saying that, after the early goals and the half-time scoreline, we had imagined the game turning out differently - a little less hectic, a little less emotional,'' said Edin Terzic in his post-match press conference.

''We got off to a really good start. The change of system worked well. We were able to create the space we were looking for, again and again we had a numerical advantage down the middle thanks to Thomas Delaney and Jadon Sancho,'' said the head coach. ''The match changed at around the 30-minute mark, because we started playing far too narrow, we started lingering far too long on the ball and, as a result, we were no longer able to find space. We invited the opposition to press us. Paderborn got a second wind - and then played really well and fought all the way to the end.''

Terzic also shared his thoughts on the the penalty in the seventh minute of injury time, describing it as ''the crucial moment that changed everything.'' ''It looked like we had managed to take a 3-1 lead, and then, a couple of minutes later, we hear the news: there was a foul in the box. At this point, the game could have completely turned on its head,'' said the coach, adding: ''The way we pushed to our limits in extra time was positive.'' (br)
