"We're there!" declared Marco Reus after the 3-2 victory over Leipzig – his side's fifth Bundesliga win in a row. "That was the result we were hoping for," explained Michael Zorc at the end of 90 entertaining minutes. Here are the match reactions.

Michael Zorc: "That was the result we were hoping for. It was a turbulent match. We were clearly superior in the opening 60 minutes and deservedly led 2-0. Then we lost our rhythm and ceded control of the game as well. We were losing the ball too quickly and were no longer able to launch counter-attacks. We were pegged back by a set-piece and a well-played goal from Leipzig. But at the end we came back once again thanks to an outstanding goal. That was football at its finest. Now we're off to Berlin, and we want to come back with the same result."

Marco Reus: "It was the tough game we expected. Leipzig have a good team. We played very well in the first half and then made it 2-0 early on in the second. But then we didn't have such a good foothold in the game and Leipzig were applying a lot of pressure. At times, we got lucky that we didn't go 3-2 down. But we showed spirit and went 3-2 ahead ourselves. We've done it! That was very important. We absolutely want to get into the Champions League, but of course we also want to win the cup final. First and foremost, it was important for us to win this match. Now we'll prepare ourselves for Thursday, because we want to win that one too."

Emre Can: "That was a hugely important victory. Everyone knew how difficult it would be. We wanted to win the game. We go again on Thursday; we want to do it again in that one. Winning was all that counted today. Compliments to the team; the way we played football was very impressive, especially in the first half. We became slightly too passive in the second period, but in the end the three points are all that counts. Even if Erl isn't there sometimes, we still have other players that are super. Now we'll recover and prepare ourselves well for the final. There's a cup up for grabs on Thursday, and we absolutely want that cup! Everyone is really up for it – and we'll show that on Thursday!"
