Following the win in Hoffenheim, Marco Rose and Manuel Akanji spoke to Sky. Here are the match reactions.

Marco Reus: "We made a good start to the game in the opening minutes. Then we became slightly too passive; then Hoffenheim were good on the ball and found gaps. We applied too little pressure on the ball. That improved after we switched to a back five in the second half. It was a clinical victory. We're happy we've won this tricky game here."

Manuel Akanji: "There are a lot of matches in which we play well. But then we also have games where we don't play well. We need to make sure that we take our chances going forward and perform as a team even on the not-so-good days. We've discussed that together. It won't happen overnight, but today was a good step forward. We need to keep going against Leverkusen following the short break."
