BVB will travel away to VfL Bochum in the DFB-Pokal round of 16 this Wednesday (8/2). Kick-off at the Vonovia-Ruhrstadion is at 20:45 CET, with the stadium set to open its doors at 18:45 CET. Approximately 3,000 fans from Dortmund will be supporting BVB in Bochum. We have compiled some relevant information for you below.

Transport

Cars / minibuses / buses:

Take the "Stadion" exit off the A40 and turn left directly at the exit into the "Stadionring" multi-storey car park, which is exclusively available to away fans.

The parking fee for cars is €4. Payment is cashless only without a parking ticket via a number plate recognition system. Buses and minibuses can park in the car park next to the multi-storey car park. The fee for this is €10.

Local public transport:

From the main station, take underground line 308/318 towards Gerthe/Schürbankstraße and get off at the Planetarium stop. The journey time is 3 minutes. The fare is included in your entry ticket.

The Vonovia Ruhrstadion can be reached on foot from Bochum main station in approximately 20 minutes. When leaving the main station, keep right and follow the Ostring past the high-rise hotel (Park Inn), turn right onto Castroper Straße, go past the Kirmesplatz and cross over the next major intersection. You will find the away sector in the first corner of the stadium (West). Important info: Construction work is currently taking place around Castroper Straße, which renders it necessary to alter the route. Please check the current status with the police after arriving at the main station. When travelling today, please note the route displayed below for away fans to take from Bochum main station to the stadium and the area where glass bottles are prohibited.

During VfL Bochum matches, a ban on glass is also in force in the stadium and the surrounding area. At this point, we would also like to expressly point out that wearing the "Thor Steinar" clothing brand in the Vonovia Ruhr-Stadion is not welcome. The same applies to all other fashion labels with a racist, xenophobic, extremist and/or discriminatory background, even if the provisions of criminal law do not apply.

The Bochum Police Department have addressed BVB fans with the following fan letter:

Stadium rules

People who are visibly very intoxicated and stand out as being drunk may be denied entry into the stadium area.

Beer with a reduced alcohol level is served in the away sector.

Only cashless payments with an EC card, credit card or Apple/Google Pay can be made in the stadium.

We would like to point out that away fans will not be granted access to the home sector, i.e. the East Stand and blocks N1, M, M1 and A-D.

For persons with a stadium ban, it is not permitted to loiter in the area around the stadium.

Bags and rucksacks

Small bags up to a size of approximately DIN-A4 can be taken into the stadium, but there is no storage location for them. It may therefore be useful for fans arriving by train to rent a locker at the main train station.

Important info: Backpacks and bags that exceed this size are not permitted anywhere on the stadium premises. There will also be no drop-off point for these.
