BVB have always enjoyed facing VfL Wolfsburg. And the fans can probably look forward to many goals. There have been over three goals per match on average in meetings between the two teams. The last time they lost after going 1-0 up was in Cologne in October 2022. Wolfsburg have kept only one clean sheet in their last eight matches (in a 2-0 victory against Heidenheim on 19 August).

Biggest home win: The Black & Yellows have recently improved upon this record two games in a row. A 6-1 triumph in April 2022 was followed by a 6-0 victory in May 2023. Karim Adeyemi bagged his first Bundesliga brace and assisted another goal. Julian Brandt assisted three goals and notched up three scorer points in one match for the first time in a BVB jersey. In addition to Adeyemi, Jude Bellingham scored twice and there were goals from Sébastien Haller and Donyell Malen.
