Former BVB shot-stopper Alexander Bade will be part of Peter Stöger's coaching staff from 1 February. The 47-year-old joins Borussia Dortmund from 1. FC Köln and will serve as assistant coach until the end of the season. Bade enjoyed a successful spell in the cathedral city alongside Stöger and co-coach Manfred Schmid between 2013 and 2017.

Bade, who hails from Berlin, will be a familiar face to many Black and Yellows, having been part of the BVB squad for the second half of the 2007/08 campaign. In total, Bade made 48 appearances in the Bundesliga and played 129 matches in the second division.
