Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus played from the start in the German national team's 2-1 (2-0) victory over Saudi Arabia, their final friendly before the World Cup in Russia, before being replaced by his former team-mate Ilkay Gündogan in the 57th minute.

Reus volleyed into the path of Timo Werner for the opener in the eighth minute. Then, three minutes later, he hit the foot of the post with an effort from the edge of the box after a Werner strike had been blocked. Reus was later substituted for Gündogan around the hour mark. (br)
