The Borussia Dortmund U19s suffered the second defeat of their UEFA Youth League campaign as they were beaten 4-1 away to group leaders Inter Milan.

The BVB U19s were condemned to their second defeat in three group matches in their 4-1 (2-1) loss to the Nerazzurri. The scoreline was harsh on Michael Skibbe's charges, however, who performed well especially before the break but failed to extend their lead once Youssoufa Moukoko had put them ahead in the eighth minute.

Inter took full advantage, converting their first two chances to lead 2-1 at the break. A two-goal salvo at the beginning of the second half clinched the win for the hosts, with Tobias Raschl spurning an opportunity to pull one back for the visitors when he missed from the penalty spot in the 68th minute.

Barcelona, Slavia & BVB all level

Inter Milan currently top the group with nine points ahead of Barcelona, Dortmund and Sparta Prague, who have three apiece. BVB will welcome the Italians to Sportpark Hohenbuschei for the return fixture on Tuesday 5 November.

BVB: Unbehaun – Semic (Wengerowski, 74), Ferjani, Böhmer, Göckan (Kuffour, 74) – Amedick (Hetemi, 62), Raschl – Khadra (Knauff, 62), Pherai, Aydinel – Moukoko (Rauch, 86).
