Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus suffered a muscle injury in Tuesday night's DFB Cup Round of 16 clash against SV Werder Bremen. The initial medical evaluation suggests that the 30-year-old forward faces several weeks on the sidelines.

Reus was forced to leave the field of play in the closing minutes of the 3-2 defeat away in Bremen, with new signing Emre Can coming on to replace him in the 89th minute. The BVB medical team estimate that it will be four weeks before the club captain will be able to make his return to training.
