Last weekend, a bus full of Black & Yellow supporters aged 60 years and over travelled to the Hanseatic City of Bremen to support their team in the away sector and to experience an action-packed weekend with a diverse programme involving activities related to football, culture and entertainment. The 47 senior supporters were accompanied by three employees from the Life and Social Marketing Team.

Following a comfortable outward journey in the former BVB Team Bus, the travelling contingent from Dortmund met with the Bremen Over-60s Club for dinner. The warm welcome was followed by an entertaining evening with many stimulating conversations – the perfect way to warm up for the upcoming Bundesliga match.

But before fully switching their focus to Saturday afternoon's fixture at the Weserstadion, the participants went on a guided tour of Bremen in the morning that ended with a visit to a traditional fish restaurant. As one would expect, they then vocally supported their team against SV Werder Bremen from the Fan Block.

The victory was the No. 1 topic of conversation not only at the post-match dinner but also during the stadium tour that took place on Sunday morning. The trip ended back at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK in Dortmund early on Sunday evening.

Dirk, 60, described the weekend as follows: "All it all, it was an all-round successful trip from which I'll take not only the three points but also the many great memories of the city and the people in Bremen. The programme was outstanding with sufficient breaks. The organisation and supervision by the lovely tour management was excellent, I felt very comfortable!"

Further offers for our Over-60 BVB fans will be published soon on bvb.de.
