Borussia Dortmund have won nine of their 10 matches since the winter break and have racked up more victories in 2020 than the entire first half-season. The win in Wolfsburg was their sixth in a row in the league. Here are the match facts.

Historic run: Borussia Dortmund have not conceded a goal in each of their last seven league meetings with VfL Wolfsburg. It is the longest run of clean sheets that the Black & Yellows have put together against a single opponent in their Bundesliga history.

Counter-attacking threat: The second goal was the 17th time BVB have scored on the counter this season – a league high.

Creative flair: BVB scored their 67th and 68th goals of the season from open play. That the highest figure of all the 18 Bundesliga clubs this term; it is also three more goals from open play than Borussia managed in the entirety of last season.

In-form: Having netted a brace in the derby, Raphael Guerreiro scored another against the Wolves to take his tally for the season to eight (six in 2020). The Portugal international scored only nine goals in total in his first three Bundesliga campaigns.

Top assister: Jadon Sancho set up a goal for the 17th time this season and now leads the Bundesliga assists charts, ahead of Thomas Müller (16). In addition, he has 31 scorer points – the most in the division (Robert Lewandowski had 30 prior to the evening game).

Season record: Thorgan Hazard notched his 12th assist of the current campaign – a new personal best for the Belgian.

Prolific on the road: Achraf Hakimi scored his fourth goal of the season. He now has twice as many as last season – and all four Bundesliga goals in 2019/20 have come away from home.

Heart of defence: Emre Can played in defence for the first time in a BVB shirt. But he's familiar with the role from his time in Leverkusen, Liverpool and with the German national team.
