Borussia's U17s started the Bundesliga season with a 3-3 in the battle of the Borussias in Mönchengladbach. In a dramatic match, Sebastian Geppert's boys managed to score an equaliser in injury time.

"For the first game of the season, that was fine. We played a great first half and then lost our rhythm," said the coach. Having started off the better of the sides, BVB took the lead through Ayukayoh Mengot. Gladbach equalised with their first dangerous attack in the 32nd minute out and took a 3-1 lead in the second half. In injury time, substitute Niclas Dühring clawed one back to make it 2:3, and shortly before the final whistle, Mika Lenninghaus completed the comeback for a final score of 3-3.

BVB will play host to SC Paderborn on Saturday 26 September for their first home game of the season. (wiwi)
