After a draw and two defeats, accompanied by a slide to seventh place in the table, Borussia Dortmund are looking to get back to winning ways. The Black and Yellows have their next chance to do just that on Saturday in the home game against FC Augsburg (kick-off 15:30 CET).

The team are still coming to terms with the draw against Mainz and the defeats in the big matches against Leverkusen and Mönchengladbach. "Of course we are very unhappy with one point from three games. We did see some positive things, but we have to ask ourselves why we are still giving the points away. We have worked hard analysing that," said BVB coach Edin Terzic. "The boys are standing up and taking ownership of the mistakes they have made in the last few games. The response they are showing on the training ground is excellent."

The team have let in too many goals this season from set pieces, and "we are paying the price for that," said sporting director, Michael Zorc. "We had good periods in all three games, but not for more than 45 minutes. The task for the weeks to come is to show level that throughout the entire game. Then the results will normally be better too."

BVB's next chance to get a better result is in Saturday's home game against FC Augsburg. The Fuggerstädter lie 12th in the table and were victorious against Union Berlin last weekend after a run of three defeats. The Augsburg team also won the reverse fixture against Union, then a week later they beat BVB 2-0.

"We started the first game well, we had plenty of chances, but again we fell behind to a set piece," recalled Terzic. This time, he is expecting the opposition to be compact and look to counter-attack quickly. Terzic is calling on his team not to give the ball away easily and to defend against counter-attacks high and be brave: "If they make mistakes, we have to be there to punish them."

Terzic will continue to have to make do without long-term injury absentees Axel Witsel and Marcel Schmelzer against Augsburg. Thomas Meunier will also have to sit out on Saturday due to knee problems. "We hope that he will be back next week," said Terzic, who is hoping that Dan-Axel Zagadou and Thorgan Hazard will also be able to return to team training next week.
