Preparations for the Bielefeld match have been underway since this Tuesday. In addition to Thorgan Hazard, who had already completed parts of team training last week, central defender Dan-Axel Zagadou and goalkeeper Roman Bürki have returned to the fold. Manuel Akanji is unavailable for the time being with a fibre tear, while Thomas Delaney sat out the morning session after taking a knock to his foot.

Dan-Axel Zagadou, who sustained a muscular injury in the match against 1. FSV Mainz 05 in mid-January, and his Swiss team-mate Roman Bürki, who had been suffering from a shoulder injury, are back in training with the whole team for the first time. "Both will be incorporated more intensively from today and then we'll see whether they're ready for a place in the squad this weekend," explained head coach Edin Terzic. Both are taking part in the preparations for the next Bundesliga match, which will see BVB take on Arminia Bielefeld at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday (15:30 CET).

Coach Terzic has a clear objective for the clash with the East Westphalians. "Above all, we want to build on the positive things from the last two games, because we still have goals to achieve. But in this process the focus is always on us and not on the opponent we're up against. We know that we're capable of playing good football; we now need to add consistency and stability to the mix in order to produce the performance on each matchday."
