The final day of the season sees the Borussia Dortmund U23s travel away to 1860 Munich on Saturday afternoon. Kick-off at the tradition-steeped Städtisches Stadion an der Grünwalder Strasse is at 13:30 CET. The stadium has been sold out for weeks, with 15,000 spectators set to attend.

"We want to win the match and push up our points record in the 3. Liga even further," said BVB boss Enrico Maassen, whose team would extend the club record to 52 points in the event of a victory. In addition, they could still finish as high as seventh place in the table. BVB have already cemented their position as the best team from NRW and the best promoted club in the 3. Liga.

Their hosts on Saturday are still chasing a possible fourth-place finish. Coach Michael Köllner's charges saw their faint promotion hopes disappear entirely from view following their defeat to champions Magdeburg in the last round of fixtures. Beforehand, they had recorded clear wins against MSV Duisburg and TSV Havelse. But one title is looking highly to go to the Bavarian state capital: striker Marcel Bär currently tops the scoring charts with 19 goals.

Saturday's game will be only the second meeting between the two teams. 1860 Munich won the reverse fixture at Stadion Rote Erde by a 2-0 scoreline.

Bayerische Rundfunk will be broadcasting the game from 13:25 CET.
