Ahead of the final Bundesliga match of the season against 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday (kick-off 15:30 CET), BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl spoke to the press about the end of the campaign, Mats Hummels and Marco Reus.

Sebastian Kehl on the contract extension for Mats Hummels:
''We are delighted to have agreed an extension with Mats this week. We've been in discussions for a few weeks, and Mats has done a lot of thinking, as he's at a phase in life where he's asking himself certain questions. But we were able to reach an agreement quickly and are happy to share the good news today, which will hopefully give us an extra push going into the weekend. Another year with Mats Hummels is another good year for Borussia Dortmund. He has delivered sensational performances whenever he's been called upon.''

…a possible league title for Marco Reus:
"The whole club, the whole city would be so happy for Marco Reus if we could get our hands on the title this weekend. I know what it would mean to him in his role as captain. Marco has written so many stories here and has done great things at this club for so many years. One thing that's always been said about him is that he has never managed to win the title. I think that's something that has always grinded away at him a bit. He will do everything he can to make sure we secure the title on Saturday - for himself too."

…dealing with pressure:
''Of course we knew that there would be a huge sense of euphoria after the result on Saturday and our win on Sunday. I spoke to the team on Monday to put a few things into perspective so that we can approach this week full of focus. But of course I know that it's going to be a crazy week. I know what the players are going through – I experienced the same thing a few times myself. We've tried to process everything that's happened up till yesterday so that we can place the focus fully on Saturday, meaning the boys can look forward to the occasion and deliver their best possible performance. I have a good feeling overall, but I know that we'll have to deliver another good performance. If we do that, then we'll have earned it. When the players are making the trip to the stadium on the team bus and they see the masses of people out to cheer them on, that will carry them.''

…the mood in training:
''We deliberately chose to forego a day off this week so as to place all our focus on the game. There has been a lot of hard work and passion on display in training. The lads have done a brilliant job so far.

…the potential involvement of Jude Bellingham:
''Jude is doing all he can to be fit in time for Saturday. I can say for sure that he'll be there no matter what – we'll just have to see in what role. He will be part of the team, because he's more than earned that after so many exceptional performances.''

…Mainz 05:
"We're anticipating an opponent who don't have much left to lose. In recent weeks they have not been at their best level, but of course they have a chance to make amends this weekend. They will try to take something from this game. But I think if we focus on ourselves, play our game and get going quickly out the blocks in our home stadium, it doesn't really matter which opponent we face on Saturday."
