In last Saturday's match against Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, together with main sponsor 1&1, set an example for diversity when the players wore a 1&1 logo in rainbow colours on their jerseys. To follow up this action, the BVB foundation ''leuchte auf'' is supporting two organisations that work to support the LGBTQI community and tackle discrimination.

The SCHLAU NRW network, which offers educational and anti-discrimination workshops on gender and sexual diversity, has been given a donation of €5,000. SCHLAU hold meetings and discussions between young people and lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and queer people.

SLADO e.V., the umbrella organisation of gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans associations and initiatives in Dortmund, will also receive €5,000. SLADO campaigns for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people in the city.
