Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund have signed Belgian U19 international Julien Duranville. The 16-year-old, who completed the compulsory medical examination yesterday, has signed a long-term deal with BVB.

Attacking winger Duranville, who is in the final stages of his recovery after suffering a muscle injury in the autumn, is regarded as one of the most talented players in his age group. He made his professional debut for 34-time Belgian champions RSC Anderlecht at the age of 16 years and five days. He has made six appearances in the Jupiler Pro League this season and scored his first goal at the beginning of September.

"We're very pleased that Julien and his family have placed great trust in us and that he will now be wearing our colours. Julien is a fast, technically strong and creative winger in whom we see great potential," said BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl, adding: "In the coming years, we would like to work together to leverage this potential and drive forward his development – as we have already demonstrated with talented youngsters on several occasions in the past. Our main focus will now be on integrating Julien into our first-team squad and his new surroundings as quickly as possible and bringing him up to Bundesliga level step-by-step."
