True love. Poland is a country which also enjoys close ties with Borussia Dortmund, with a friendly cooperation long since connecting us with our Polish neighbours. Now, though, things are stepping up a notch as the BVB Soccer School establishes a new partner in Poland: the Willy Brandt School.

The German school in Warsaw was opened against the backdrop of large-scale media interest, with the foreign ministers of both countries, sporting representatives, more than 300 children from different countries and Borussia Dortmund also present as guests.

The guests at the opening were immediately able to get a taste of what the sporting cooperation with the Willy Brandt School (WBS) Soccer Academy might look like, observing BVB Soccer School modules taking place under the professional supervision of coaches.

The Soccer School is set to offer its first football courses in Poland from this summer onwards. In addition, workshops on areas such as training methods represent a further component of the cooperation.

"The WBS Academy is a perfect fit for us. In addition to its optimal footballing infrastructure, its core principles include innovative training methods and child-appropriate education. We feel very happy to be here and are looking forward to the first course in the summer," declared Christian Diercks, the organisational leader of the BVB Soccer School.
