Kevin Kampl is transferring to Bayer Leverkusen from eight time German champions Borussia Dortmund with immediate effect. The two clubs in the Bundesliga have agreed the transfer today.

The 24-year-old Slovenian moved to Dortmund in January 2015 and made 14 league and 3 European Cup appearances for BVB. Now Kampl is returning to Leverkusen where he was a youth player from 1997 to 2010. “We wish Kevin all the best for his future sporting career”, explained sports director Michael Zorc.

The clubs have agreed an undisclosed transfer fee.
