After Marco Reus returned home early, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Lukasz Piszczek also returned back to Dortmund early from their national teams after suffering a knock, but hopefully the injuries are not serious.

Poland’s right back Piszczek had to be substituted on Friday during the EURO qualifier against Germany (1-3). According to the first reports he suffered a slight groin injury. More details about the injury can however only be revealed once the 30 year old has been examined by team doctor Dr. Markus Braun.

The same thing applies to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who suffered a slight knock to his ankle in the Africa Cup qualification game between Gabon and Sudan. Aubameyang, who scored the last goal to make it 4-0 for Gabon, tweeted that the injury “is not that bad.”

Marco Reus missed both internationals because of a hairline fracture in his toe. The 26 year old said: “I am sure that I can play for BVB again after a few days’ rest.” (br)
