In view of their superior shot (19:9) and chance (7:2) ratios, Borussia might well have taken all three points against PAOK Saloniki if luck had been on their side. Yet the players were in positive mood as they spoke to sky and sport1 after the match despite being held to a 1-1 draw in Greece.

Castro: "Over the 90 minutes, we showed that we really want to win the match. Unfortunately, we didn't quite get that little bit of luck on one or two occasions. We can be satisfied, but are nevertheless annoyed at having dropped two points. We had enough chances to score a second goal. But we can be satisfied with a 1-1 draw in such a hostile atmosphere. PAOK let us have quite a lot of the possession. Over the 90 minutes we played relatively well and we are now brimming with confidence as we look ahead to Sunday's match away to Bayern."

Sven Bender: "I think we performed well tonight. We wanted to find a good balance between defence and attack. Saloniki were quite a challenging opponent to face. We can live with the 1-1 draw, although I think there could have been a bit more in it for us."

Thomas Tuchel: "I felt that we really struck a great balance out there tonight. It was a super first half an hour. And then we conceded that goal out of nothing. Afterwards we remained completely dominant. We let them get away almost no shots on goal until the 80th minute, believed in ourselves and upped the tempo even more in the second period. It has been a real joy to see and coach the team. We weren't really even vulnerable to counter-attacks. Overall it was a very good performance from us." (fu)
