Borussia’s U19s won the ‘preliminary match’ against Bayer Leverkusen 3-1, and in doing so defended their position at the top of the table in the Bundesliga West from Schalke 04 (2-0 away at Borussia Mönchengladbach). Dzenis Burnic (4’) and Felix Passlack with a penalty in the 44’ minute made for a comforting halftime score-line.

Today in Leverkusen and on Thursday in Bochum: Felix Passlack was involved in all seven BVB goals!

After Leverkusen got one back, Hannes Wolf’s protégés showed great character. Jacob Bruun Larsen scored in the 78minute to bring the game to 3-1, the final score. Felix Passlack, who had been involved in all of BVB’s four goals on Thursday against VfL Bochum, assisted the goal which gave BVB a 1-0 lead, as well as the goal to take the score to 3-1 and wrap up the result. “What the boys have shown today after the taxing match against Bochum was fantastic, especially given Leverkusen’s great efforts”, delighted Hannes Wolf.

Next Sunday there will be another top-class match in Gelsenkirchen: FC Schalke, just four points behind BVB in the table, will be waiting at 11:00 CET for our as yet undefeated table leaders in Ückendorf.
