The first Head Coach reaction was positive. Thomas Tuchel was satisfied with the performances of his team that was still short of many players in their matches away to Erkenschwick and Wuppertal. He began to rave when he started to speak about Ousmane Dembele.

Thomas Tuchel on the game in Erkenschwick:
„We played with players who had never trained with us before. Everything was OK.“

... on the game in Wuppertal:
„the first half was good, with lots of chances, but just not enough goals. I also liked what I saw in the second half. That was very young. We could not assume that we would also win the second half. I am very satisfied."

... on new signing Ousmane Dembelé:

„Ousmane is a very modest, happy, young man apart from being an excellent footballer. He is someone who tries to integrate himself as fast as possible. These are all characteristics that are fun to see. If he then also plays like he has so far, then everything is good. If he doesn't watch the EURO final at Auba's house tomorrow, he's more than welcome to come to my place. There will be grilled sausages without rolls.

... on Sebastian Rode missing the game:

„we trained for a short while this morning. He then felt a problem in the front of his thigh. It was a pure precaution to leave him out today for 45 minutes. I am sure that he will be back full in action again on Tuesday. We just have individual training tomorrow, Monday is a day off."

... on Erik Durm's injury:

„he has been rested for the last four days and has undergone treatment. I expect him to take part in individual training tomorrow and to take part in team training on Tuesday. During his holiday he started to have problems when he went on runs and these problems reoccurred when he was made to do tests on Monday. That is why we rested him for a few days straight away." (br)
