The German Football League has set times and dates for the first five matchdays of the 54th Bundesliga season. Borussia Dortmund will start the new campaign with a home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday 27 August. The kick-off at Signal Iduna Park is at 15:30 CET.

Two weeks later, following an international break, BVB's first "top match" is scheduled when the runners-up travel to newly-promoted RB Leipzig on Saturday 10 September (kick-off 18:30 CET). A week later (17/9) Borussia Dortmund will square off against SV Darmstadt 98 at 15:30 CET at Signal Iduna Park. Then there will be two evening matches in the league, firstly away to VFL Wolfsburg (Tuesday 20 September at 20:00 CET) and then at home to Sportclub Freiburg (Friday 23 September at 20:30 CET). (br)
