Fifth friendly match, fourth win - and one with a big exclamation mark. "That was Formula 1 against Formula 3" was how Manchester United head Coach Jose Mourinho described it after the 1-4 defeat his team suffered against Borussia Dortmund. Thomas Tuchel put it more realistically: "I think that statement was a bit too drastic."

The BVB Head Coach stated: "that was a high win for us and we deserved to win. We latched on to where we had got to in training. Of course we are satisfied with the result and also with the way in which we won the game. But we still have a long way ahead of us and we still need to improve a lot of things."

There was also not any feeling of self gratification after this exceptional result within the team. Gonzalo Castro, who scored two goals said: "you can't be blinded by the result." Sebastian Rode added: "We tried to put our mark on the game right from the first minute." What was noticeable: when more than half of the team was substituted after 60 minutes, the flow of the game only lost its thread for a short while. Everyone wanted to prove themselves. Castro, who was the only outfield player to play the full distance said: "even after we made the many substitutions we showed that we could control the game."

Marc Barta made his debut. The Spaniard said: "I am very, very happy to be here. I was very excited to play my first game in the Dortmund jersey. Everyone welcomed me in a great way." (br)
