Konami Digital Entertainment has become a new partner of eight-time German champions Borussia Dortmund. The partnership, which is initially planned for four years, will kick off at the start of the 2016/17 season. PC, console and mobile versions of the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) video game will recreate the BVB logo as well as the club’s current kits and star players down to the last detail, while SIGNAL IDUNA PARK and the fans’ chants from the terraces will appear more realistic than ever before.

“We are excited and full of anticipation at the prospect of our partnership with KONAMI,” said Carsten Cramer, BVB’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “Our fans value football of the highest quality, and we are convinced that KONAMI is capable of recreating the club’s playing style and the players’ skills as realistically as possible,” he added.

We feel honoured to be commencing a partnership with a forward-thinking football club like Borussia Dortmund,” said Tomotada Tashiro, Chairman of Konami Digital Entertainment B.V.. “We are committed to portraying this world-famous club in all its glory on PES 2017 and beyond. The club and its players will play an important role in making the PES series, which has been a hit with fans for many years, more popular than ever before.”

PES 2017 will be released on 15 September on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
