It is still quiet in the Wojska Polskiego, the Legia Warsaw stadium. Borussia Dortmund is is having their final training session exactly 26 hours before the kick-off to the UEFA Champions League (Wednesday, 20:45 hrs) match in an Arena that will explode tomorrow evening.

Boris Rupert reports from Warsaw

Legia will be playing in football's top tier again for the first time in 21 years. For the Polish champions this will be "the perfect opportunity to eradicate the difficult start to the season with one game," was how Thomas Tuchel put it: "we are detaching ourselves completely from the impression we get from the opponent's league position and we also expect an emotional game coming from the stands." Lukasz Piszczek and his team mates don't want to let themselves be surprised by the atmosphere: "I have played some friendly matches here with BVB. That is why I am prepared. We are here to play football."

This is also a good opportunity for Borussia Dortmund to straighten some things after their unexpected defeat in Leipzig. Tuchel said: "we can do  better and we need to do better. There is still lots of room for improvement." Piszczek promised: "we are the clear favourite and want to win this game."

Of course that would be just the way his Head Coach wants it. Thomas Tuche said: "this is the top competition in Europe without question." He spoke of "the coaching staff really looking forward to this. We intend to really enjoy the group phase."

The feeling on the evening before: "a little bit how it used to be before your birthday or Christmas."
