Slovenian referee Damir Skomina will oversee Borussia Dortmund's UEFA Champions League group stage clash away to Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday. The 40-year-old match official has already taken charge of two European matches involving the Black and Yellows.

The estate agent, who hails from Koper, has been among UEFA's elite referees since the 2009/10 season and took charge of a total of seven matches at the EURO 2012 and 2016 tournaments. He has previously overseen 113 matches at international level, including 43 games in the UEFA Champions League – two of which involved Borussia Dortmund. Both of them were home victories, the first a 3-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk on 5 March 2013 and the second a 2-0 triumph against Real Madrid on 8 April 2014. (br)
