BVB goalkeeper Roman Bürki broke his hand in the Bundesliga game against FC Bayern Munich (1:0) and will need an operation.

The operation will take place in the Knappschaft hospital in Brackel and will  mean he will be out for up to eight weeks. This means Roman Bürki will not be available for BVB for all the games up to the end of the year. Roman Weidenfeller will be in goal for the Champions League match on Tuesday against Legia Warsaw. 26 year old Bürki played right through against Bayern even though he was injured. (br)
