The 39-year-old referee Martin Strömbergsson has been designated by UEFA to oversee the Champions League match between Borussia Dortmund and Legia Warsaw. The Swede has previously refereed 39 games at European level, nine of which were in the continent's elite club competition.

The Swedish match official team includes Daniel Gustavsson and Joakim Amri Nilsson as linesmen, while Mohammed Al-Hakim and Bojan Pandžić will be the goal-line assistants. Per Brogevik will be the fourth official.

Strömbergsson has previously taken charge of two games involving German teams, the first a 2-0 Bayern victory at Dinamo Zagreb on 9 December 2015 and the second another 2-0 triumph on 4 June 2016, this time for the German national team against Hungary. (br)
