As German football magazine kicker recently calculated, Marco Reus has not worn the Yellow and Black of BVB in a competitive game for 184 days. The midfielder was forced to briefly delay his planned comeback on Saturday but may well return on Tuesday, when he hopes to be part of the team that takes on Legia Warsaw.

On Saturday, following the win over FC Bayern, Reus spoke to the guests in "Borussia Park" in the North Stand, where he announced: "If everything goes well, then I hope that I will be involved on Tuesday evening."

Marco Reus on his absence in the match against Bayern:
After training on Wednesday I was having problems with my heel – and you need that to run. If everything goes well, then I hope that I will be involved on Tuesday evening. I will happy if I can get out on the pitch and put in a performance.

...on the victory over the record champions:
We played really well, especially in the first period. It was clear that Bayern would come out stronger in the second half. Nonetheless we still had several good opportunities that we could have made better use of. All in all it was a good match, and we managed to take all three points at home.

...on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's missed one-on-one:
He had a long way to run from the half-way line to the goal. Then you start to think, and perhaps after that long sprint he didn't quite have the power when shooting. Ultimately it doesn't matter: Auba scored the one goal, we won the game and that is all that counts.

...on the team's targets before the winter break:
Now we need to get consistency in our game. We want to get the right results in our remaining matches before the winter break and stay near the top. Anyone who has seen the table knows how tight it is. For that reason it's important to get as many points as possible. If we succeed, we can look forward to a good Christmas break.
