On Thursday all of the first-team squad were on the training pitch! On Friday, following an extremely long session, a visibly satisfied Thomas Tuchel explained: "Today, too, we had everyone in the squad at our disposal with the exception of Manni Bender and Neven Subotic."

Bender was rested today having only returned to team training the day before, while Subotic was also given time to recover following his comeback with the U23s two days ago. "It was a long out for him," said Tuchel, adding "and it's good to have another alternative. Neven is training normally with us but will get some more playing time with the U23s tomorrow. After that we will decide on a week-by-week basis."

Marco Reus will also be available for Saturday's match in Frankfurt but will not start having played the full 90 minutes against Warsaw in midweek. "Two matches in a matter of days would be a bit excessive after six months out," said Tuchel, who continued: "You don't need to be a sports scientist to know that would be a high-risk approach to take."

"Fight tooth and nail for the next three points"

Reus could make an appearance off the bench to give the team extra impetus in the closing stages and to help "to fight for the one chance that might be enough". For Tuchel is not expecting a glut of goalscoring opportunities for his team against a defensively solid Eintracht side. "We need to be extremely focused and remain very patient because Frankfurt don't give much away." The coach emphasised the need to avoid errors in build-up play and to "use space flexibly and with great care. The most important thing is to play with the same bite and the same sharpness as we did in the second half against Schalke and fight tooth and nail for the next three points. It is an extremely important match so I'm expecting total commitment." (br)
